ORANGE

The scientific name of the orange is Citrus sinensis. The most common oranges have a sweet and pleasant flavour, but there are varieties with a bitter and acidic note, used industrially to make jams or essential oils. The minimum juice content of an orange ranges from 30% to 35%. It is one of the most important productions in the Algarve region and benefits from fertile soils and a temperate climate, ideal for orange cultivation.

With a rounded and slightly flattened shape, the clementine has a sweet taste with a slight acidic note. The colour varies from orange to bright orange, depending on the variety, and the minimum juice content is around 40%. The scientific name is Citrus clementina(latim).

A fruit full of flavour, attractive in colour, easy to peel and seedless, the tangerine has won over more and more consumers. Its tastes sweet, with a slight acidic note, and has a rounded, slightly flattened shape. The minimum juice content of Citrus tangerina is 33%.

LEMON

Who doesn't need lemon in the kitchen? Its acidic flavor makes it versatile and a faithful ally when preparing meals or juices. The scientific name is Citrus limon and its colour varies between green and yellow. Depending on the variety, it contains between 20% and 25% minimum juice content.
